Abstract
An apparatus according to the present technology includes a specification section and a determination section. The specification section specifies a difference in voltage on an open circuit voltage (OCV) curve of a battery cell. The determination section determines whether the battery cell is authentic or non-authentic, on the basis of the difference in voltage.

An apparatus, comprising:
- a specification section that specifies a difference in voltage on an open circuit voltage (OCV) curve of a battery cell;
- and
- a determination section that determines whether the battery cell is authentic or non-authentic, on a basis of the difference in voltage.
A battery pack, comprising:
- a specification section that specifies a difference in voltage on an open circuit voltage (OCV) curve of a battery cell;
- and
- a determination section that determines whether the battery cell is authentic or non-authentic, on a basis of the difference in voltage.
A battery-cell determination method, comprising:
- specifying a difference in voltage on an open circuit voltage (OCV) curve of a battery cell;
- and
- determining whether the battery cell is authentic or non-authentic, on a basis of the difference in voltage.
