Abstract
A membrane electrode assembly with an anode, a cathode and a hydrocarbon membrane lying between the anode and the cathode. The membrane electrode assembly further includes a protective layer, which is arranged between the anode and the hydrocarbon membrane and/or between the cathode and the hydrocarbon membrane, wherein the protective layer includes at least one ceramic material and one fluorine-containing ionomer, wherein the ceramic material is dispersed in the fluorine-containing ionomer.

A membrane electrode assembly comprising an anode, a cathode and a hydrocarbon membrane arranged between the anode and the cathode, further comprising a protective layer, which is arranged between the anode and the hydrocarbon membrane and/or between the cathode and the hydrocarbon membrane, wherein the protective layer comprises at least one ceramic material and a fluorine-containing fluorine-containing ionomer, wherein the ceramic material is distributed in the fluorine-containing fluorine-containing ionomer.
