Abstract
Each of end structures of a fuel cell stack has an insulation member and a support member. Accommodation grooves are formed in the support member or the insulation member, and elastic seal members are accommodated in the accommodation grooves. The support member and the insulation member have a plurality of flow passages through which the fuel gas, the oxygen-containing gas, or the coolant flows. The elastic seal members surround the plurality of flow passages. Three or more connecting bolts are arranged around each of the plurality of flow passages.
Claims8
A fuel cell stack comprising a cell stack body in which a plurality of unit cells are stacked, and end structures provided at opposite ends of the cell stack body in a stacking direction, wherein
- each of the end structures includes:
- an end plate disposed at an outermost position in the stacking direction;
- an insulation member arranged between the cell stack body and the end plate in the stacking direction;
- a support member interposed between the cell stack body and the insulation member in the stacking direction;
- an accommodation groove formed in the support member or the insulation member;
- an elastic seal member accommodated in the accommodation groove and configured to seal between the support member and the insulation member;
- and
- a plurality of connection bolts configured to connect the support member and the insulation member,
- the support member includes a plurality of flow passages each extending along the stacking direction and allowing a fuel gas, an oxygen-containing gas, or a coolant provided for the cell stack body to flow therethrough, and
- the elastic seal member surrounds outer peripheries of the plurality of flow passages, and three or more of the plurality of connection bolts are arranged around each of the plurality of flow passages.
