Abstract
Some embodiments include an x-ray apparatus, comprising: a non-linear anode; a non-linear cooling channel disposed within the non-linear anode; a target disposed on the non-linear anode; wherein: the target is configured to generate x-rays in response to incident electrons; and in a plane perpendicular to a path for coolant in the non-linear cooling channel, a material of the non-linear anode is continuous around the non-linear cooling channel.

An x-ray apparatus comprising:
- a non-linear anode;
- a non-linear cooling channel disposed within the non-linear anode;
- a target disposed on the non-linear anode;
- wherein:
- the target is configured to generate x-rays in response to incident electrons;
- and
- in a plane perpendicular to a path for coolant in the non-linear cooling channel, a material of the non-linear anode is continuous around the non-linear cooling channel.
