Abstract
A method implemented by a management server includes receiving telemetry data related to a sensor of a panic button device; receiving a keypress sequence of the panic button device; determining an event type and a location of the panic button device; and transmitting an emergency request to a public safety access point (PSAP), the emergency request indicating the event type and the location.
Claims20
A method implemented by a management server, comprising:
- receiving telemetry data from a panic button device, the telemetry data indicating a device identifier of the panic button device, a location of the panic button device, and sensor data from at least one sensor of the panic button device;
- determining an event type, at least in part based on a keypress sequence included in the telemetry data;
- determining a role associated with the device identifier;
- determining an emergency checklist, at least in part based on the event type and the role;
- transmitting an emergency request to a public safety access point, the emergency request indicating the event type and the location;
- and
- transmitting the emergency checklist to the panic button device.
A method implemented by a wearable apparatus, comprising:
- receiving a configuration from a management server;
- receiving an input on a button of the wearable apparatus;
- determining that the input matches a panic sequence stored in a memory of the wearable apparatus;
- activating at least one sensor of the wearable apparatus, at least in part based on the determining;
- producing telemetry data indicating a device identifier of the wearable apparatus, a location of the wearable apparatus, and sensor data from the at least one sensor;
- transmitting the telemetry data to the management server;
- and
- outputting an audio, visual, or haptic output.
A non-transitory, computer-readable medium encoded with instructions that, when executed by a processing unit, cause the processing unit to perform operations comprising:
- receiving telemetry data from a panic button device, the telemetry data indicating a device identifier of the panic button device, a location of the panic button device, and sensor data from at least one sensor of the panic button device;
- determining an event type, at least in part based on a keypress sequence included in the telemetry data;
- determining a role associated with the device identifier;
- determining an emergency checklist, at least in part based on the event type and the role;
- transmitting an emergency request to a public safety access point, the emergency request indicating the event type and the location;
- and
- transmitting the emergency checklist to the panic button device.
