An electronic gaming machine comprising:
- a housing comprising an access door;
- a security monitoring circuit supported by the housing;
- a display device supported by the housing;
- an input device supported by the housing;
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of an offer to transfer a play of a game to an electronic gift receiver device;
- when an opening of the access door is detected via the security monitoring circuit:
- disable the offer to transfer of the play of the game,
- store data associated with a state of the electronic gaming machine, the stored data relating to the play of the game, and
- following a closing of the access detected via the security monitoring circuit load the stored data and a reconstitution of the state of the electronic gaming machine, enable the offer to transfer of the play of the game;
- receive an input, via an input device, of an acceptance of the offer to transfer the play of the game;
- responsive to the play of the game being provided via the electronic gift receiver device in part based on a location of the electronic gift receiver device, cause a display, by the display device, of an indication that the play of the game was provided via the electronic gift receiver device;
- and
- responsive to the play of the game not being provided via the electronic gift receiver device in part based on the location of the electronic gift receiver device, cause a display, by the display device, of an indication that the play of the game was not provided via the electronic gift receiver device.
An electronic gaming machine comprising:
- a housing comprising an access door;
- a security monitoring circuit supported by the housing;
- a display device supported by the housing
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of a received e-gift for a play of a game provided by an electronic gift buyer device;
- when an opening of the access door is detected via the security monitoring circuit:
- disable the play of the game,
- store data associated with a state of the electronic gaming machine, the stored data comprising a state of the play of the game, and
- following a closing of the access detected via the security monitoring circuit, load the stored data to reconstitute the state of the electronic gaming machine, enable the play of the game, and cause the display device to display an indication that the play of the game can be provided on the electronic gaming machine;
- and
- responsive to the play of the game not being provided by the electronic gaming machine, enable a return of the e-gift for the play of the game back to the electronic gift buyer device;
- and
- responsive to the play of the game being provided by the electronic gaming machine, cause an indication to be sent to the electronic gift buyer device that the play of the game has been provided.
A central system configured to communicate with an electronic gift receiver device and an electronic gaming machine, the central system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- communicate data that causes a display, by a display device of the electronic gaming machine, of an indication of a transferable play of a game;
- responsive to receiving data associated with an opening of an access door of the electronic gaming machine detected via a security monitoring circuit of the electronic gaming machine:
- disable communication of data regarding the transferable play of the game to the electronic gaming machine,
- store data regarding the transferable play of the game, and
- following a receipt of data associated with a closing of the access door of the electronic gaming machine detected via the security monitoring circuit of the electronic gaming machine:
- enable the communication of data regarding the play of the game to the electronic gaming machine, and communicate data that causes a display, by the display device of the electronic gaming machine, of an indication of the availability of the transfer of the play of the game via the electronic gaming machine;
- responsive to receiving data indicating that the play of the game is transferred via the electronic gaming machine, communicate data to cause a display, by a display device of an electronic gift receiver device, of an indication that the play of the game is provided from the electronic gaming machine;
- and
- responsive to receiving data indicating that the play of the game is not provided via the electronic gift receiver device, communicate data to cause a display, by the display device of the electronic gaming machine, of an indication that the play of the game is not provided via the electronic gift receiver device and an indication that the play of the game is returned to the electronic gaming machine.
