A system for image reconstruction is provided. The system, comprising: at least one storage device including a set of instructions; and at least one processor configured to communicate with the at least one storage device. When executing the set of instructions, the at least one processor is configured to direct the system to perform operations including obtaining image data of a subject; performing, based on the image data, an iterative reconstruction process including a plurality of iterations. A candidate image is generated based on the image data according to at least one of the plurality of iterations. The operations further include generating, based on the candidate image, a predicted result using a trained machine learning model, and generating a target image of the subject based on the candidate image and the predicted result. The predicted result indicates a convergence of the iterative reconstruction process;
