Image processing method, image processing device, and image processing program

An image processing device comprising a circuitry, wherein the circuitry is configured to:

• calculate a relationship between luminance values in an image and a statistical value of the luminance values;
• process an image to be processed;
• specify the statistical value for each pixel of the image on the basis of a luminance value for each pixel of the image and the relationship, and set parameters of an edge-preserving smoothing filter for each pixel of the image on the basis of the specified statistical value, and
• process the image using the edge-preserving smoothing filter in which the parameters are set for each pixel of the image.

An image processing program causing a processor to execute:

• calculating a relationship between luminance values in an image and a statistical value of the luminance values;
• processing an image to be processed;
• specifying the statistical value for each pixel of the image on the basis of a luminance value for each pixel of the image and the relationship, and setting parameters of an edge-preserving smoothing filter for each pixel of the image on the basis of the specified statistical value, and
• processing the image using the edge-preserving smoothing filter in which the parameters are set for each pixel of the image.
