Real-time bidding process for advertisement payload

A system, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• a memory storing instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising:
• identifying a transaction at a point of sale (POS) wherein an advertisement payload can be provided to a customer;
• generating a bid request for an advertisement payload to be integrated in a receipt generated at the POS;
• transmitting the bid request to a plurality of demand site platforms (DSPs), wherein each DSP is associated with a retailer;
• receiving at least one bid response from the DSP associated with the retailer;
• determining a winning bid response from the at least one bid response;
• in response to determining the winning bid response, procuring an advertisement payload associated with the retailer;
• and
• generating the receipt at the point of sale (POS) comprising the advertisement payload.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium, storing instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause a computer to execute a method, the method comprising:

• identifying a transaction at a point of sale (POS) wherein an advertisement payload can be provided to a customer;
• generating a bid request for an advertisement payload to be integrated in a receipt generated at the POS;
• transmitting the bid request to a plurality of demand site platforms (DSPs), wherein each DSP is associated with a retailer;
• receiving at least one bid response from the DSP associated with the retailer;
• determining a winning bid response from the at least one bid response;
• in response to determining the winning bid response, procuring an advertisement payload associated with the retailer;
• and
• generating the receipt at the point of sale (POS) comprising the advertisement payload.
