Abstract
Example embodiments may relate to a system, method, apparatus, and computer readable media configured for monitoring a user performing various athletic movements and generating performance characteristics based on the data corresponding to such athletic movements. Users may also be encouraged to participate in athletic challenges or competitions against other users or groups of users. In addition, athletic movement data for multiple persons can be collected at a central location, and subsequently displayed to a user at a desired remote location, so that the user can compare his or her athletic activities to others.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- obtaining, by a computing device, image data captured by a plurality of image capturing devices, wherein the image data comprises:
- a first plurality of video segments of an athletic activity, corresponding to a first perspective, during a first time period;
- and
- a second plurality of video segments of the athletic activity, corresponding to a second perspective, during a second time period;
- receiving, by the computing device, a set of athletic activity data corresponding to performance of the athletic activity;
- correlating, by the computing device, the image data with the set of athletic activity data;
- receiving, by the computing device, input indicating selection of a perspective, among the first perspective and the second perspective, for playback of video representing the image data;
- and
- causing, by the computing device, output of the video in accordance with the selected perspective.
An apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing computer executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus at least to:
- obtain image data captured by a plurality of image capturing devices, wherein the image data comprises:
- a first plurality of video segments of an athletic activity, corresponding to a first perspective, during a first time period;
- and
- a second plurality of video segments of the athletic activity, corresponding to a second perspective, during a second time period;
- receive a set of athletic activity data corresponding to performance of the athletic activity;
- correlate the image data with the set of athletic activity data;
- receive input indicating selection of a perspective, among the first perspective and the second perspective, for playback of video representing the image data;
- and
- cause output of the video in accordance with the selected perspective.
One or more non-transitory computer readable media storing instructions that, when executed cause:
- obtaining image data captured by a plurality of image capturing devices, wherein the image data comprises:
- a first plurality of video segments of an athletic activity, corresponding to a first perspective, during a first time period;
- and
- a second plurality of video segments of the athletic activity, corresponding to a second perspective, during a second time period;
- receiving a set of athletic activity data corresponding to performance of the athletic activity;
- correlating the image data with the set of athletic activity data;
- receiving input indicating selection of a perspective, among the first perspective and the second perspective, for playback of video representing the image data;
- and
- causing output of the video in accordance with the selected perspective.
