Abstract
A computing device, a computer program product, and a computer-implemented method for delivering enhanced financial services and, more particularly, for facilitating a virtual chat communication session between a user and a virtual support agent which automatically identifies and corrects keywords which the user may misspelled. A pre-stored list of valid keywords is maintained and is used to identify which keywords are misspelled. Misspelled keywords may be automatically corrected.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method for operating a virtual chat communication platform, the computer-implemented method comprising:
- generating a chat interface displayed for display on a user interface of a client device;
- capturing an input command from the client device via the chat interface;
- detecting, within the input command, a term that does not correspond to a valid term in a stored set of valid terms;
- determining, from the stored set of valid terms, a candidate term corresponding to the detected term based on a similarity between the detected term and the candidate term;
- determining whether the similarity satisfies a predefined matching criterion;
- and
- executing, in response to determining that the similarity satisfies the predefined matching criterion, the input command using the candidate term in place of the detected term.
The computer-implemented method of claim 7 wherein the non-term content comprises user-specific information that is excluded from comparison against the stored set of valid terms.
A server computing system, comprising:
- a non-transitory memory coupled to one or more processors, the non-transitory memory including a set of instructions of computer-executable program code, which when executed by the one or more processors, causes the one or more processors to perform operations including:
- generating a chat interface displayed for display on a user interface of a client device;
- capturing an input command from the client device via the chat interface;
- detecting, within the input command, a term that does not correspond to a valid term in a stored set of valid terms;
- determining, from the stored set of valid terms, a candidate term corresponding to the detected term based on a similarity between the detected term and the candidate term;
- determining whether the similarity satisfies a predefined matching criterion;
- and
- executing, in response to determining that the similarity satisfies the predefined matching criterion, the input command using the candidate term in place of the detected term.
A computer program product comprising at least one non-transitory computer readable medium having a set of instructions of computer-executable program code, which when executed by one or more processors of a server computing system, causes the one or more processors to perform operations including:
- generating a chat interface displayed for display on a user interface of a client device;
- capturing an input command from the client device via the chat interface;
- detecting, within the input command, a term that does not correspond to a valid term in a stored set of valid terms;
- determining, from the stored set of valid terms, a candidate term corresponding to the detected term based on a similarity between the detected term and the candidate term;
- determining whether the similarity satisfies a predefined matching criterion;
- and
- executing, in response to determining that the similarity satisfies the predefined matching criterion, the input command using the candidate term in place of the detected term.
