Migrating data, from a source database to a destination database, may introduce errors. Simply re-migrating the data to resolve any discrepancies may be excessively burdensome. By creating a source Merkle tree of hash values from the source database and a corresponding Merkle tree of hash values of the destination database, any discrepancies can be quickly identified and narrowed to a subset of the affected rows. The discrepancies may be resolved, such as by re-hashing the destination rows when a field(s) therein are of a different datatype than the corresponding source rows' datatype. If the hashes are then the same, then the difference may be accepted as the result of different datatypes. If differences remain, then other resolutions may be implemented.
