Abstract

A system can be provided for deploying bare metal clusters that satisfy custom resource requests. For example, the system can receive from a client device, a custom resource request. The custom resource request can include requirements for a bare metal cluster. The system can further detect, in response to receiving the custom resource request, baseband management controller (BMC) Internet Protocol (IP) addresses that are available for executing the bare metal cluster. The system can then determine resources that satisfy the requirements. The resources can include one or more BMC IP addresses of the plurality of BMC IP addresses. Additionally, the system can generate, based on the resources, a configuration file for the bare metal cluster and deploy, based on the configuration file, the bare metal cluster.

A system comprising:

a processing device;
and
a memory device that includes instructions executable by the processing device for causing the processing device to perform operations comprising:
receiving, from a client device, a custom resource request comprising one or more requirements for a bare metal cluster;
detecting, in response to receiving the custom resource request, a plurality of baseband management controller Internet Protocol (IP) addresses that are available for executing the bare metal cluster;
determining one or more resources that satisfy the one or more requirements, the one or more resources comprising at least one baseband management controller IP address of the plurality of baseband management controller IP addresses;
generating a configuration file for the bare metal cluster based on the one or more resources;
and
deploying the bare metal cluster based on the configuration file.
