Methods and apparatus for navigation based on tracking orientations are disclosed. An example apparatus includes interface circuitry communicatively coupled to an aiming device and an image sensor carried by an aircraft, machine-readable instructions, and at least one processor circuit to be programmed by the machine-readable instructions to determine orientations of the aiming device as the image sensor tracks a target via the aiming device, determine navigation information of the aircraft based on the orientations and flight sensor data corresponding to the tracking of the target with the image sensor, and guide movement of the aircraft based on the navigation information.
