Abstract

An object is to reduce, in a timepiece including an operation portion that rotates an inner rotating ring only in one direction, a load applied to a component that transmits a torque of the operation portion to the inner rotating ring. A timepiece includes a timepiece case, an inner rotating ring that is accommodated in the timepiece case and that is rotatable in a second circumferential direction, an engagement gear that engages with the inner rotating ring and that rotates in synchronization with the inner rotating ring, a rotation operation portion that includes a head portion disposed outside the timepiece case and that is provided to be rotatable about an axis with respect to the timepiece case, and a rotation transmission portion that transmits clockwise rotation of the rotation operation portion to the engagement gear and that causes the rotation operation portion to idle counterclockwise.
