Abstract
Disclosed is a booklet producing apparatus including an application unit configured to apply adhesive onto a sheet, a stacking portion on which a plurality of sheets onto which the adhesive has been applied by the application unit are stacked, a bonding unit configured to nip and bond the plurality of sheets stacked on the stacking portion with the adhesive, and a control unit configured to execute an operation of producing a booklet, the control unit being configured to control the application unit such that an amount of the adhesive per unit area of a layer of the adhesive formed between each pair of adjacent sheets in the booklet varies depending on a position of the layer of the adhesive in a thickness direction of the booklet.
Claims12
A booklet producing apparatus comprising:
- an application unit configured to apply adhesive onto a sheet;
- a stacking portion on which a plurality of sheets onto which the adhesive has been applied by the application unit are stacked;
- a bonding unit configured to nip and bond the plurality of sheets stacked on the stacking portion with the adhesive;
- and
- a control unit configured to execute an operation of producing a booklet in which each pair of adjacent sheets are bonded to each other via the adhesive using the application unit and the bonding unit, the control unit being configured to control the application unit such that an amount of the adhesive per unit area of a layer of the adhesive formed between each pair of adjacent sheets in the booklet varies depending on a position of the layer of the adhesive in a thickness direction of the booklet.
