Light source apparatus and projector

A light source apparatus comprising:

• a light guide having a side surface extending in a first direction, a first end surface intersecting with the side surface and oriented in the first direction, and a second end surface intersecting with the side surface and oriented in a direction opposite the first direction;
• an angle converter bonded to the first end surface and configured to convert an angle of light output via the first end surface;
• a light emitter configured to emit light toward the side surface,
• a holding member with which the angle converter is in contact in the first direction;
• and
• a base at which the light guide and the holding member are disposed,
• wherein the angle converter includes
• a light passage portion through which light incident from the light guide passes, and
• a flange which protrudes from the light passage portion in a direction intersecting with the first direction and through which the light incident from the light guide on the angle converter does not pass,
• the base has a first facing portion,
• the holding member has
• contacts with which the flange is in contact along the first direction, and
• a second facing portion facing the first facing portion in the first direction, and
• the holding member is fixed to the base with an adhesive that fills a clearance provided between the first facing portion and the second facing portion.
