Abstract
A frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system including an optical component and switching circuitry, operatively coupled with the optical component, to produce at an output a first voltage level and a second voltage level, The first voltage level causes the optical component to turn on, and the second voltage level causes the optical component to turn off.
Claims20
A frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system, comprising:
- an optical component;
- and
- switching circuitry, operatively coupled with the optical component, to produce at an output a first voltage level and a second voltage level, wherein the first voltage level causes the optical component to turn on, and the second voltage level causes the optical component to turn off.
A method of operating a frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system, comprising:
- providing, by switching circuitry, a first voltage level to cause an optical amplifier to turn on;
- and
- switching, by the switching circuitry, the first voltage level to a second voltage level, wherein the second voltage level causes the optical component to turn off.
A frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) light detection and ranging (LIDAR) system, the FMCW LIDAR system comprising:
- an optical component;
- a memory to store a set of instructions;
- and
- a processor operatively coupled to the memory that, to:
- produce a first voltage level to cause the optical component to turn on;
- and
- switch the first voltage level to a second voltage level to cause the optical amplifier to turn off.
