Abstract
A system and method including a first device provided on an object and configured to receive wireless communication signals from a remote device in accordance with a device signaling protocol. The first device may include a high-frequency interface operable to transmit and receive communication signals via a physical medium, where the high-frequency interface is configured to communicate via the physical medium in accordance with same device signaling protocol utilized for wireless communications.

A communication system for an object comprising:
- a first object device disposed in a fixed position relative to the object, the first object device configured to transmit and/or receive signaling associated with a wireless communication protocol;
- a differential conductor pair;
- and
- a communication interface operable to couple the signaling to the differential conductor pair.
A method of communicating between first and second object devices disposed on an object, the method comprising:
- generating, by the first object device, signaling in accordance with a wireless communication protocol;
- coupling the signaling to a physical medium extending between the first object device and the second object device;
- communicating the signaling via the physical medium between the first object device and the second object device;
- and
- receiving, by the second object device, the signaling communicated via the physical medium in accordance with the wireless communication protocol.
An object device disposed on an object, the object device comprising:
- an antenna system configured to receive wireless communication signals transmitted by the remote device in accordance with a wireless communication protocol;
- a communication interface operable to transmit and receive communication signals via a physical medium, the communication interface configured to communicate via the physical medium in accordance with the wireless communication protocol;
- and
- a control system operably coupled to the communication interface, the control system configured to direct transmission and reception of communication signals via the communication interface for transmission and receipt of data from another object device disposed on the object.
