Abstract

An X-ray inspection apparatus includes a conveying unit, an X-ray source, an X-ray detector, an image generation unit, an assessment unit, and a display unit. The assessment unit is configured to assess whether an undesirable part is present in the product by using the X-ray transmission image or an inspection target image that is obtained from the X-ray transmission image. In a case where the assessment unit assesses that an undesirable part is included in an undesirable part region in the image of the product based on assessment that applies a first criterion, the display unit is configured to display a result of a detection in which the assessment unit applies a second criterion in the undesirable part region in the image of the product, the second criterion having a higher sensitivity in detection of an undesirable part than the first criterion.

Dependent claims

An X-ray inspection apparatus comprising:

a conveying unit configured to convey a product;
an X-ray source configured to emit X-rays on the product conveyed by the conveying unit;
an X-ray detector configured to detect the X-rays irradiated on the product;
an image generation unit configured to generate an X-ray transmission image based on the X-rays detected by the X-ray detector;
an assessment unit configured to assess whether an undesirable part is present in the product by using the X-ray transmission image or an inspection target image that is obtained from the X-ray transmission image;
and
a display unit configured to display an image of the product, wherein
in a case where the assessment unit assesses that an undesirable part is included in an undesirable part region in the image of the product based on assessment that applies a first criterion, the display unit is configured to display a result of a detection in which the assessment unit applies a second criterion in the undesirable part region in the image of the product, the second criterion having a higher sensitivity in detection of an undesirable part than the first criterion.
