Abstract
Aspects of the present disclosure include analyzing flow cytometers having multiple acquisition speeds. To effectuate multiple acquisition speeds, analyzing flow cytometers of embodiments of the invention are configured to modulate a fluidic resistance in the waste line to control fluid velocity in the flow cell. Also provided are methods of processing a sample using the disclosed analyzing flow cytometers.
Claims22
An analyzing flow cytometer comprising:
- a flow cell;
- a sample container receiving region;
- a sample line configured to fluidically transmit a sample from a sample container in the sample container receiving region to a sample injection port of the flow cell;
- a sheath fluid line configured to fluidically couple a sheath fluid reservoir to a sheath fluid injection port of the flow cell;
- a waste line fluidically coupled to an outlet of the flow cell;
- and
- a controller configured to modulate a fluidic resistance in the waste line to control fluid velocity in the flow cell.
