A computer implemented method for determining the specific temperature, Tlog, corresponding to a viscometric fixed point of a fluid. The method takes as input one value of the dynamic viscosity and one value of the temperature of the fluid. The method provides as output a value of the characteristic temperature Tlog3. The characteristic temperature Tlog3 is computed by a VFT-like model, wherein the adjustable parameters of the VFT-like model comprise a chemical composition-dependent adjustable parameter, T0, which depends on the chemical composition of the fluid, and wherein the adjustable parameters of the VFT-like model are statistically adjusted over a dataset of experimental and/or simulated temperature-dynamic viscosity values for the fluid within a chemical composition range.
A computer implemented method for determining a characteristic temperature, Tlog, corresponding to a viscometric fixed point of a fluid, wherein said method takes as input one value of the dynamic viscosity, μ, and one value of a temperature, T, of the fluid;
