Abstract
A navigation device according to an embodiment may comprise: a user interface receiving an input from a user and displaying a route; and a control unit configured to control the user interface to display a route to a destination entered by the user as an existing route, and, when receiving, from the user, an avoidance trigger input corresponding to a guided action on a road traveled by a vehicle, determine at least one alternative route including at least one alternative action different from the guided action, and control the user interface to display the at least one alternative route.

A navigation device comprising:
- a user interface receiving an input from a user and displaying a route;
- and
- a control unit configured to control the user interface to display a route to a destination entered by the user as an existing route, and, when receiving, from the user, an avoidance trigger input indicating an intention to avoid a guided action on a road traveled by a vehicle, determine at least one alternative route including at least one alternative action different from the guided action, and control the user interface to display the at least one alternative route.
A method of controlling a navigation device comprising a user interface, the method comprising:
- controlling the user interface to display a route to a destination entered by a user as an existing route;
- receiving, from the user, an avoidance trigger input corresponding to a guided action on a road traveled by a vehicle;
- determining, in response to receiving the avoidance trigger input, at least one alternative route including at least one alternative action different from the guided action;
- and
- controlling the user interface to display the at least one alternative route.
