Abstract
A gas-operated firearm comprising an elongated barrel, defining a bore, and defining a gas port communicating with the bore at an intermediate location on the barrel. The barrel defines a flat surface parallel to the bore at the intermediate location, with a gas block slidably received on the barrel at the intermediate location. and having a flat surface rotationally engaging the barrel flat surface. The barrel defines a forward-facing shoulder, rear of the intermediate portion, with the gas block spring biased rearwardly against the shoulder.
Claims1
A gas-operated firearm comprising:
- an elongated barrel defining a bore and defining a gas port communicating with the bore at an intermediate location on the barrel;
- the barrel defining a flat surface parallel to the bore at the intermediate location;
- a gas block slidably received on the barrel at the intermediate location and having a flat surface rotationally engaging the barrel flat surface;
- and
- the barrel defining a forward facing shoulder rear of the intermediate portion, and the gas block spring biased rearwardly against the shoulder.
