Abstract
A portable temperature-controlled storage system comprising a payload chamber having hydrocarbon-coated aluminum walls, the payload chamber comprising either a continuous non-ribbed geometry or an integrated ribbed geometry, a thermoelectric cooling assembly thermally coupled to at least a portion of the aluminum walls, a phase-change thermal buffer positioned thermally proximate to the payload chamber, a temperature sensor positioned within the payload chamber, a controller coupled to the thermoelectric cooling assembly and the temperature sensor and configured to regulate the thermoelectric cooling assembly to control payload temperature, and a rechargeable battery configured to operate at least the thermoelectric cooling assembly and the controller.
