Abstract
A system includes an air conditioning system including: a first unit having a compressor and a first heat exchanger; a second unit having a second heat exchanger; the air conditioning system configured to circulate a refrigerant between the first unit and the second unit; an energy storage device configured to power the compressor; a controller; a thermal management system having a third heat exchanger, the third heat exchanger configured to receive refrigerant from the air conditioning system in certain modes of operation to provide one of heating and cooling of the energy storage device.

A system comprising:
- an air conditioning system including:
- a first unit having a compressor and a first heat exchanger;
- a second unit having a second heat exchanger;
- the air conditioning system configured to circulate a refrigerant between the first unit and the second unit;
- an energy storage device configured to power the compressor;
- a controller;
- a thermal management system having a third heat exchanger, the third heat exchanger configured to receive refrigerant from the air conditioning system in certain modes of operation to provide one of heating and cooling of the energy storage device.
