System for curb cap size selection in an exhaust fan

A system for manufacturing a fan with a curb cap having a sidewall for coupling to a roof curb, the system comprising:

• a data collection device having a display configured to present
• a first curb cap option defining a first curb cap sidewall dimension configured to interface with a first roof curb,
• a second curb cap option defining a second curb cap sidewall dimension configured to interface with a second roof curb, and
• a third curb cap option defining a third curb cap sidewall dimension configured to interface with a third roof curb,
• wherein the first curb cap sidewall dimension, the second curb cap sidewall dimension, and the third curb cap sidewall dimension are numerically different from one another, and
• wherein the first roof curb, the second roof curb, and the third roof curb are different from one another;
• a user input device in communication with the data collection device, the user input device operable by a user to select either the first curb cap option, the second curb cap option, or the third curb cap option;
• a data storage device configured to store data relating to the selected curb cap option;
• and
• an assembly subsystem configured to receive the data from the data storage device and at least partially manufacture the fan with the curb cap having a sidewall at least partially defining the sidewall dimension of the selected curb cap option.
