Light emitting module and lens

A light emitting module, comprising:

• a substrate including an insulator and a conductive pattern;
• a light source disposed on an upper surface of the substrate and electrically connected to the conductive pattern;
• and
• a lens disposed on the light source to disperse light emitted from the light source, the lens including:
• a lower surface facing the upper surface of the substrate;
• a light incident region;
• a light exit surface through which light having entered the lens through the light incident region exits the lens to an outside of the lens;
• a flange arranged between the lower surface and the light exit surface, the flange having portions extending outside the upper surface of the substrate in plan view;
• and
• legs protruding from the lower surface of the lens,
• wherein:
• the light incident region has a central axis;
• in plan view, the lens has a length along a first direction different from a length of a second direction perpendicular to the first direction;
• and
• the legs are arranged within an inner boundary of the flange in plan view and are coupled to the upper surface of the substrate.

A light emitting module, comprising:

• a substrate including an insulator and a conductive pattern;
• a light source disposed on an upper surface of the substrate and electrically connected to the conductive pattern;
• and
• a lens disposed on the light source to disperse light emitted from the light source, the lens including:
• a lower surface facing the upper surface of the substrate;
• a light incident region;
• a light exit surface through which light having entered the lens through the light incident region exits the lens to an outside of the lens;
• a flange arranged between the lower surface and the light exit surface, the flange having portions extending outside the upper surface of the substrate in plan view;
• and
• legs protruding from the lower surface of the lens,
• wherein:
• the light incident region has a central axis;
• in plan view, the lens has a length in a first direction that is different from a length in a second direction, the second direction being different from the first direction;
• and
• the legs are arranged within an inner boundary of the flange in plan view and are coupled to the upper surface of the substrate.
