Hydrogen aircraft

A hydrogen aircraft comprising:

• a gas turbine engine including
• a combustion gas space through which a combustion gas flows and
• a non-combustion gas space adjacent to the combustion gas space in a radial direction of the combustion gas space;
• a fuel tank storing hydrogen fuel in a liquid phase;
• a fuel supply passage connecting the fuel tank to the gas turbine engine;
• at least one heat exchanger interposed in the fuel supply passage and located in the combustion gas space;
• at least one heat shield that is movable between a first position and a second position, the first position being a position at which the at least one heat shield projects from the non-combustion gas space to the combustion gas space so as to cover at least a part of an upstream side of the heat exchanger, the second position being a position at which the at least one heat shield is retracted from the combustion gas space to the non-combustion gas space compared to the first position;
• and
• an actuator that moves the heat shield between the first position and the second position.
