Abstract
A lockable gun mount features a stock receiver, a trigger block, and a barrel lock. The stock receiver includes a base, sidewalls, a receiving aperture, and one or more fasteners. The trigger block includes a trigger rod and a wall member. The barrel lock includes a wall member, a hinged door coupled to the wall member, and a locking mechanism configured to secure the hinged door to the wall member. In some examples, the barrel lock further includes a biometric sensor. A cumulative force between the stock receiver, the trigger receiver, and the barrel lock prevents the gun from being removed from the lockable gun mount when secured to a wall or flat surface.
Claims20
A lockable gun mount, comprising:
- a stock receiver configured to receive a stock of a gun, the stock receiver configured to be positioned at a first location in relation to a wall;
- a trigger access prevention member configured to be positioned at a second location in relation to the wall, the trigger access prevention member configured to prevent a trigger of the gun from being actuated;
- and
- a barrel clamp configured to be positioned at a third location in relation to the wall, the barrel clamp comprising a barrel receiving region and a hinged door, wherein the hinged door is configured to secure a barrel of the gun in the barrel receiving region;
- wherein the barrel clamp comprises a locking mechanism configured to selectively secure the hinged door in a closed position to retain the barrel of the gun within the barrel receiving region, the locking mechanism comprising a biometric sensor.
A method of securing a gun to a wall using a lockable gun mount, the method comprising:
- coupling a stock receiver, a trigger access prevention member, and a barrel clamp to the wall;
- inserting a stock of the gun into the stock receiver;
- positioning a trigger region of the gun adjacent the trigger access prevention member such that actuation of a trigger of the gun is prevented;
- placing a barrel of the gun within a barrel receiving region of the barrel clamp;
- closing a hinged door of the barrel clamp;
- and
- actuating a locking mechanism to secure the hinged door in a closed position to retain the barrel within the barrel receiving region.
