Non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing data transmission program and method of creating color embroidery

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a set of program instructions for a data transmission apparatus comprising a controller, the set of program instructions, when executed by the controller, causing the data transmission apparatus to perform:

• acquiring embroidery data for sewing a first pattern on a sewing workpiece, the first pattern being a pattern indicated by stitches of a first color arranged in a region enclosed by a contour line of a particular shape;
• acquiring print data for printing a second pattern on a print medium, the second pattern being obtained by horizontally flipping an original pattern, the original pattern being a pattern in which the region is filled with a plurality of colors including a second color, the second color being different from the first color;
• displaying an embroidery image on a display, the embroidery image indicating the first pattern that is sewn in accordance with the embroidery data;
• displaying a print image indicating the second pattern on the display;
• transmitting the embroidery data to a sewing machine;
• and
• transmitting the print data to a printer.

A method of creating color embroidery, the method comprising:

• acquiring, by a data transmission apparatus, embroidery data for sewing a first pattern on a sewing workpiece, the first pattern being a pattern indicated by a plurality of stitches of a first color arranged in a region enclosed by a contour line of a particular shape;
• acquiring, by the data transmission apparatus, print data for printing a second pattern on a print medium, the second pattern being obtained by horizontally flipping an original pattern, the original pattern being a pattern in which the region is filled with a plurality of colors including a second color, the second color being different from the first color;
• transmitting the embroidery data from the data transmission apparatus to a sewing machine;
• transmitting the print data from the data transmission apparatus to a printer;
• sewing, by the sewing machine, the first pattern on the sewing workpiece in accordance with the embroidery data;
• printing, by the printer, the second pattern on the print medium;
• and
• superimposing the print medium on the sewing workpiece such that a contour line of the first pattern aligns with a contour line of the second pattern, and heating the print medium to thermally transfer the second pattern printed on the print medium onto the first pattern sewn on the sewing workpiece.
