Abstract

The present invention is an Li-containing slag obtained by melting a raw material containing discarded lithium ion batteries that contain lithium (Li) and aluminum (Al), characterized by having relationships of Al/Li<5 and silicon (Si)/Li<0.7 by mass ratio and by containing Al in a proportion of 20 mass % or less, Li in a proportion of 3-20 mass %, and Si in a proportion of 0-7 mass %.
