An annealing apparatus for a metal strip advancing along a longitudinal direction into a coating system for coating said metal strip with a layer of molten metal, said apparatus comprising, in sequence: at least one longitudinal-flow induction heating device; at least one transverse-flow induction heating device; at least one cooling zone.

An annealing apparatus for a metal strip advancing along a longitudinal direction into a coating system for coating said metal strip with a layer of molten metal, said apparatus comprising, in sequence
- at least one longitudinal-flow induction heating device;
- at least one transverse-flow induction heating device;
- at least one cooling zone;
- wherein there is provided at least one pre-heating zone arranged upstream of said longitudinal-flow induction heating device.
