Abstract
Provided herein are compositions and methods for use in biological assays. In particular, provided herein are DNA polymerases with enhanced strand-displacement activity for use in amplification assays such as, for example, loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) or recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) assays.
Claims22
A modified DNA polymerase having enhanced strand-displacement activity compared to a wild-type version of the modified DNA polymerase.
A reaction mixture comprising:
- a) modified DNA polymerase having enhanced strand-displacement activity compared to a wild-type version of the modified DNA polymerase;
- and
- b) one or more reagents selected from:
- an enzyme that is different from the modified DNA polymerase, a buffer, nucleic acid primers, probes, dNTPs, dyes, ions, and nucleic acid controls.
