Abstract
A thermoplastic water-free solvent-free bioplastic composition is provided. This composition comprises a seaweed alginate, at least one plasticizer, at least one crosslinker, and at least one lubricant optionally with reinforcement fibers and one or more additives. A method of manufacturing this composition is also provided. It comprises the steps of A) mixing together the components of the composition, thus producing a mixture of powders, and B) carrying out a reactive extrusion of the mixture of powders.

A thermoplastic water-free solvent-free bioplastic composition comprising:
- a seaweed alginate, at least one plasticizer, and at least one crosslinker.
