Claims28
A process for preparation of a polymer comprising a moiety of Formula (I):
- wherein
- R1 is independently selected at each occurrence thereof from the group consisting of H, —OH, —NH2, halogen, —CN, NO2, C1-12 alkyl, OC1-12 alkyl, SC1-12 alkyl, —C(O)C1-12 alkyl, —COOH, —SO2C1-12 alkyl, —SO2aryl, —SO2heteroaryl, aryl, heteroaryl, and —P(O)(OH)2;
- R2 is independently selected at each occurrence thereof from the group consisting of H, —OH, —NH2, halogen, —CN, NO2, C1-12 alkyl, OC1-12 alkyl, SC1-12 alkyl, —C(O)C1-12 alkyl, —COOH, —SO2C1-12 alkyl, —SO2aryl, —SO2heteroaryl, aryl, heteroaryl, and —P(O)(OH)2;
- R2a is independently selected at each occurrence thereof from the group consisting of H, —OH, —NH2, halogen, —CN, NO2, C1-12 alkyl, OC1-12 alkyl, SC1-12 alkyl, —C(O)C1-12 alkyl, —COOH, —SO2C1-12 alkyl, —SO2aryl, —SO2heteroaryl, aryl, heteroaryl, and —P(O)(OH)2;
- R3 is independently selected at each occurrence thereof from the group consisting of H, —OH, —NH2, halogen, —CN, NO2, C1-12 alkyl, OC1-12 alkyl, SC1-12 alkyl, —C(O)C1-12 alkyl, —COOH, —SO2C1-12 alkyl, —SO2aryl, —SO2heteroaryl, aryl, heteroaryl, and —P(O)(OH)2;
- R4 is independently selected at each occurrence thereof from the group consisting of H, C1-12 alkyl, aryl, and heteroaryl;
- a is 0 to 4;
- k is 0 to 4;
- q is 0 to 5;
- and
- m is 0 to 5;
- comprising:
- providing a compound of Formula (II):
- providing a compound of Formula (III):
- and
- reacting the compound of Formula (II) with the compound of Formula (III) under ambient atmosphere to form the polymer comprising a moiety of Formula (I).
