Abstract
A thermoplastic polyurethane foam has chemical dynamic covalent adaptable networks. The foam comprises a reaction product of a polyol mixture and an isocyanate mixture. The polyol mixture comprises a polyol and a dynamic cross-linking agent with a content between 0.05 to 70 wt. %. The dynamic cross-linking agent forms dynamic cross-linking bonds.
Claims20
A thermoplastic polyurethane foam with chemical dynamic covalent adaptable networks, the thermoplastic polyurethane foam comprising:
- a reaction product of a polyol mixture and an isocyanate mixture, wherein the polyol mixture comprises a polyol and a hindered amine, the hindered amine having a content between 0.05 to 70 wt. % of the polyol mixture, and the hindered amine forming dynamic cross-linking hindered urea bonds.
A thermoplastic polyurethane foam with chemical dynamic covalent adaptable networks, the thermoplastic polyurethane foam comprising:
- a reaction product of a polyol mixture and an isocyanate mixture, wherein the polyol mixture comprises a polyol and a phenol, the phenol having a content between 0.1 to 70 wt. % of the polyol mixture, and the phenol forming dynamic cross-linking bonds.
A thermoplastic polyurethane foam with chemical dynamic covalent adaptable networks, the thermoplastic polyurethane foam comprising:
- a reaction product of a polyol mixture and an isocyanate mixture, wherein the polyol mixture comprises a polyol and a disulfide, the disulfide having a content between 0.1 to 70 wt. % of the polyol mixture, and the disulfide forming dynamic cross-linking bonds.
A thermoplastic polyurethane foam with chemical dynamic covalent adaptable networks, the thermoplastic polyurethane foam comprising:
- a reaction product of a polyol mixture and an isocyanate mixture, wherein the polyol mixture comprises a polyol, a phenol, a hindered amine, and a disulfide, wherein the phenol, the hindered amine, and the disulfide form dynamic cross-linking bonds.
