Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a synthetic estrogen receptor alpha peptide, compositions, and methods thereof for the use of enhancing insulin sensitivity and treating and/or preventing diabetes.
Claims31
A synthetic peptide comprising:
- a peptide from an activation function 1 (AF1) domain of an estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) protein and a cell penetrating peptide;
- wherein the cell penetrating peptide is linked to the amino terminus of the peptide from the AF1 domain of the ERα protein, and wherein the peptide from the AF1 domain of the ERα protein comprises at least 30 amino acids.
