Abstract

A large solar farm comprises one or more solar arrays, each with hundreds of rows of solar modules. Construction of a solar farm is a process that typically involves labor-intensive work that requires a large amount of human effort for solar table assembling and installation. The present invention discloses fully automatic factory embodiments to improve centralized solar table assembling efficiency for large solar plants. An automatic factory may comprise a panel conveyor, a torque tube dispenser, a table assembly station, a conveyor stage, and a table transfer stage for automatic solar table assembling, dispatching, and offloading. The application of the described embodiments may improve efficiency and safety for solar table assembling and solar table offloading from assembly line afterwards such that the overall construction process for large solar plants may be completed efficiently and safely with high quality.

Dependent claims

A system for offloading assembled solar tables from assembly line, the system comprising:

a conveyor stage positioned downstream of a solar table assembly line and comprising one or more conveyor sections, the conveyor stage is configured for:
receiving a solar table assembled at the solar table assembly line with multiple solar modules attached to a torque tube;
moving the solar table to a transferring position at one of the multiple conveyor stages;
and
a table transfer stage positioned in proximity to the conveyor stage, the table transfer stage comprises multiple table transfer sections;
the table transfer stage is configured for:
transferring the solar table from the conveyor stage;
and
moving the solar table within the multiple table transfer sections for solar table pickup.

A method for offloading assembled solar tables from assembly line, the method comprising:

receiving, at a conveyor stage comprising one or more conveyor sections, a solar table assembled at a solar table assembly line with multiple solar modules attached to a torque tube, the conveyor stage is positioned downstream of the assembly line;
moving the solar table to a transferring position at one of the multiple conveyor stages;
transferring the solar table from the conveyor stage to a table transfer stage positioned in proximity to the conveyor stage, the table transfer stage comprises multiple table transfer sections;
and
moving the solar table within the table transfer stage for solar table pickup.
