Abstract
A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body, a lift assembly, and a projector. The body is coupled to the chassis and includes a cab. The projector is coupled to at least one of the chassis, the body, or the lift assembly. The projector provides a visual indication of alignment of a component of the lift assembly to an environment surrounding the refuse vehicle.
Claims20
A refuse vehicle comprising:
- a chassis;
- a body coupled to the chassis;
- a lift assembly coupled to at least one of the chassis or the body;
- and
- a projector coupled to at least one of the chassis, the body, or the lift assembly, the projector operable to provide a visual indication of alignment of a component of the lift assembly with respect to an external target.

A refuse vehicle comprising:
- a chassis;
- a body coupled to the chassis and comprising a cab;
- a lift assembly coupled to at least one of the chassis or the body, the lift assembly configured to move through a range of motion external to the body;
- a projector coupled to at least one of the chassis, the body, or the lift assembly, the projector configured to project a visual boundary on an external target, the visual boundary indicating a boundary of an operational zone associated with the range of motion of the lift assembly;
- a sensor configured to detect an external object;
- and
- a controller communicably coupled to the projector and the sensor, wherein the controller is configured to receive sensor data from the sensor and dynamically adjust at least one characteristic of the visual boundary based on the sensor data.

A refuse vehicle comprising:
- a chassis;
- a body coupled to the chassis;
- a lift assembly coupled to at least one of the chassis or the body;
- a projector assembly coupled to at least one of the chassis, the body, or the lift assembly, the projector assembly including a plurality of individually controllable light emitters and an actuator configured to change an orientation of the projector assembly relative to at least one of the body or the lift assembly;
- and
- a controller communicably coupled to the plurality of individually controllable light emitters to project a selected visual pattern onto an external surface and to actuate the actuator to change the orientation of at least one of the plurality of individually controllable light emitters such that a location of the selected visual pattern on the external surface is adjusted.
