Abstract
A top engaging article carrier for packaging at least one article is disclosed. The article carrier includes an upper main panel and a lower main panel spaced apart from the upper main panel. The lower main panel includes at least one article engaging structure. The upper main panel includes a handle access aperture in the upper main panel, wherein the handle access aperture provides a single access window through which at least two handle openings in the lower main panel are accessible. The at least two handle openings provide therebetween a handle for carrying the article carrier.

A top engaging article carrier for packaging at least one article, the article carrier comprising an upper main panel and a lower main panel spaced apart from the upper main panel, the lower main panel comprising at least one article engaging structure, the upper main panel comprising a handle access aperture in the upper main panel, wherein the handle access aperture provides a single access window through which at least two handle openings in the lower main panel are accessible, the at least two handle openings providing therebetween a handle for carrying the article carrier.
A top engaging article carrier for packaging at least one article, the article carrier comprising an engaging board of a partial two-ply structure, the engaging board including a first panel and a second panel, each of the first and second panels comprising at least one article engaging structure, the at least one article engaging structure in the first panel being aligned with the at least one article engaging structure in the second panel, wherein the second panel is a partial reinforcing layer disposed in partial overlapping relationship with the first panel such that the first and second panels together form the partial two-ply structure, the partial two-ply structure comprising a two-ply region and a single ply region.
A blank for forming an article carrier, the blank comprising a first main panel and a second main panel, the second main panel comprising at least one article engaging structure, the first main panel comprising a pair of locking tabs struck from the first main panel and hingedly connected thereto in opposition to one another, the pair of locking tabs being spaced apart by an aperture, wherein the aperture forms a viewing window through which a portion of the second main panel can be observed, the portion of the second main panel comprises a pair of receiving openings, and wherein the locking tabs are receivable in the receiving openings respectively to secure the first main panel to the second main panel, the receiving openings providing a handle in a setup article carrier.
