Abstract
A closure (24; 624) comprising a unitarily molded single piece combination of: a base (50); a lid (52); and a living hinge (54) connecting the base to the lid for movement between a closed condition and an open condition, the hinge at a rear of the closure. The living hinge has first and second laterally outboard ends (158A, 158B). The base and the lid each have first and second protrusions (172A, 172B, 174A, 174B). In the closed condition: the base and lid first and second protrusions are laterally outboard of the respective first and second laterally outboard ends; and the base and lid first and second protrusions protrude rearward.

A closure (24;
- 624) comprising a unitarily molded single piece combination of:
- a base (50);
- a lid (52);
- and
- a living hinge (54) connecting the base to the lid for movement between a closed condition and an open condition, the hinge at a rear of the closure,
- wherein:
- the living hinge has first and second laterally outboard ends (158A, 158B);
- the base and the lid each have first and second protrusions (172A, 172B, 174A, 174B);
- and
- in the closed condition:
- the base and lid first and second protrusions are laterally outboard of the respective first and second laterally outboard ends;
- and
- the base and lid first and second protrusions protrude rearward;
- and
- the base and lid each have a central gusset (180, 182) joining a respective adjacent portion of the hinge.

- the closure lid forms a first latching member (122);
- the closure base forms a second latching member (121);
- in the closed condition, a surface (230) of the first latching member contacts an underside surface (222) of the second latching member;

- in the closed condition, a central forward extremity (226) of the lid is rearwardly recessed within a well (80) in the base.
