Abstract
A modular container system features magnetic and interlocking components to address the need for adaptable and secure storage solutions. The system comprises a plurality of containers, each with a top, bottom, and side surfaces equipped with depressions and ridges that interlock for stable stacking and alignment. Magnets are positioned within these features to enhance connectivity. The containers are available in various shapes and sizes, including rectangular, cylindrical, and hexagonal configurations, allowing for versatile arrangements. The innovative use of ridges, depressions, and magnets provides a robust solution to the technical problem of instability and lack of modularity in existing storage systems.
Claims17
A modular container system comprising:
- a plurality of containers, each container having a top surface, a bottom surface, and at least one side surface;
- a plurality of depressions on the top surface, the bottom surface, and the at least one side surface of each respective one of the plurality of containers;
- a plurality of ridges on the top surface, the bottom surface, and the at least one side surface of each respective one of the plurality of containers;
- a plurality of magnets positioned in the plurality of depressions and the plurality of ridges of respective ones of the plurality of containers;
- wherein, the plurality of depressions and ridges are positioned such that, when the plurality of containers are in a stacked arrangement, a depression on a top surface of one of the plurality of containers mates with a ridge on a bottom surface of another one of the plurality of containers, and a depression on the at least one side surface of one of the plurality of containers mates with a respective ridge on the at least one side surface of another one of the plurality of containers.
