Abstract

A label affixing device includes a peeling member and a winding portion. The winding portion winds the release material after the label, to be affixed to an adherend, has been peeled off by the peeling member. The winding portion includes a reel to wind the release material onto an outer peripheral surface. The reel includes an opening extending through the outer peripheral surface, and includes an advancing/retracting member moving between an extended position where the advancing/retracting member is disposed inside the opening and a retracted position where the advancing/retracting member retracts further inward in a radial direction than the extended position. When the winding portion winds the release material, the advancing/retracting member is disposed at the extended position, and when a roll on which the release material is wound is to be removed from the winding portion, the advancing/retracting member is disposed at the retracted position.

Dependent claims

A label affixing device comprising:

a peeling member configured to peel a label from a long release material supporting the label to be affixed to an adherend;
a winding portion configured to wind the release material subsequent to the label being peeled therefrom by the peeling member;
and
a first drive power source configured to generate a driving force to drive the winding portion, wherein
the winding portion includes
a reel configured to wind the release material onto an outer peripheral surface, the reel including an opening extending through the outer peripheral surface, and
a rotation shaft rotatably supporting the reel,
the reel further includes an advancing/retracting member configured to be movable between an extended position and a retracted position,
the extended position is a position where the advancing/retracting member is disposed inside the opening and where a shortest length in a peripheral direction of the outer peripheral surface at a section including the opening is a first peripheral length, and
the retracted position is a position where the advancing/retracting member retracts further inward in a radial direction than the extended position and where the shortest length in the peripheral direction is a second peripheral length shorter than the first peripheral length,
when the winding portion winds the release material, the advancing/retracting member is disposed at the extended position, and
when a roll on which the release material is wound is to be removed from the winding portion, the advancing/retracting member is disposed at the retracted position.

A label affixing device comprising:

a wrapping portion into which is inserted an adherend to which is affixed an end portion of a label being an affixing target, the wrapping portion being configured to rotate due to a driving force transmitted from a second drive power source and to wrap and affix the label around a periphery of the adherend;
and
a housing configured to rotatably support the wrapping portion, wherein
the wrapping portion includes
a first pressing member including a first pressing surface, the first pressing surface being a flat surface along an insertion direction in which the adherend is inserted toward an insertion position of the adherend, and being oriented toward the insertion position in one direction, with respect to the insertion position, in a direction intersecting the insertion direction, the first pressing member using the first pressing surface to press the label toward the adherend when the adherend is positioned at the insertion position,
a second pressing member including a second pressing surface being a flat surface along the insertion direction, being oriented toward the insertion position in the other direction, with respect to the insertion position, in the direction intersecting the insertion direction, and facing the first pressing member, the second pressing member using the second pressing surface to press the label toward the adherend when the adherend is positioned at the insertion position,
a rotation body configured to internally hold the first pressing member and the second pressing member, and to rotate around the insertion position,
a first urging member disposed between an inner surface of the rotation body and the first pressing member, and configured to urge the first pressing member in a direction causing the first pressing surface to approach the second pressing surface with the insertion position interposed between the first pressing surface and the second pressing surface, and
a second urging member disposed between the inner surface of the rotation body and the second pressing member, and configured to urge the second pressing member in a direction causing the second pressing surface to approach the first pressing surface with the insertion position interposed between the first pressing surface and the second pressing surface.
