Abstract

A motor control apparatus provided for each of motors that drive respective propulsion units is characterized by including a switching circuit, a control signal generation unit that generates a control signal for the switching circuit, a control-speed calculation unit that calculates a control speed based on the control signal, a control-speed-reduction determination unit that determines control-speed reduction in the case where the control speed is the same as or smaller than a control-speed threshold value, and a control-speed-limitation requesting unit that requests to limit the control speed of a switching circuit in another motor control apparatus, in the case where control-speed reduction is determined. In addition, a vessel propulsion system has a plurality of the motor control apparatuses, a plurality of the motors, and a plurality of the propulsion units.

Dependent claims

A motor control apparatus provided for each of motors that drive respective propellers, the motor control apparatus comprising:

a switching circuit for supplying electric power to the motor that drives the propeller;
a control signal generator that generates a control signal for on/off-controlling the switching circuit;
a control-speed calculator that calculates a control speed of the switching circuit, based on a control signal generated by the control signal generator;
a control-speed-reduction determinator that determines control-speed reduction, in the case where a control speed of the switching circuit, calculated by the control-speed calculator, is the same as or smaller than a predetermined control-speed threshold value;
and
a control-speed-limitation requestor that requests to limit a control speed of on/off-control of a switching circuit in another motor control apparatus provided for another motor that drives another propeller, in the case where the control-speed-reduction determinator determines control-speed reduction.
