An automatic rescue system for swimming pools includes a floor-spanning net secured to high-tensile ropes that are wound around reversible drive shafts mounted along opposed longitudinal pool walls. Deflection pulleys guide the ropes so the net can be moved synchronously from the pool bottom to a position at or above the water surface. A control unit monitors at least one of pressure/weight, motion, hydro-acoustic, ultrasonic or radio-tag sensors; when a person, animal or object in distress is detected, the unit energizes geared motors at both ends of each shaft to lift the net. A mechanical or electromagnetic brake prevents unintended descent, particularly during power loss. The net is made of chlorine- and UV-resistant high-strength polymer fibers. Wearable RFID, BLE or UWB tags identify authorized swimmers, and absence of a tag initiates an alarm. All active components meet at least IP-68 ingress protection. A manually or externally triggered variant omits the sensor and control features.
