Vehicle, seat assembly and midgate with support structure

A vehicle comprising:

• a passenger cabin having a front side and a rear side;
• a cargo area located on the rear side of the passenger cabin;
• a vehicle seat located inside the passenger cabin, the vehicle seat including a seat bottom and a seat backrest and being configured to move between an upright configuration and a stowed configuration;
• a midgate located between the passenger cabin and the cargo area, the midgate configured to move between an open configuration in which the passenger cabin is open to the cargo area and a closed configuration in which the passenger cabin is closed off from the cargo area by the midgate;
• and
• a midgate support structure movably attached to the midgate and configured to support the midgate above the vehicle seat in a generally horizontal configuration when the midgate is in the open configuration and the vehicle seat is in the stowed configuration.

A vehicle seat assembly comprising:

• a seat bottom;
• a seat backrest pivotally attached to the seat bottom and configured to move between an upright configuration and a stowed configuration;
• a platform configured to move between a lowered configuration in which the platform is located above at least one of the seat bottom and the seat backrest and a raised configuration in which the platform is not located above the seat bottom or the seat backrest;
• and
• a platform support structure movably attached to the platform and configured to support the platform in a generally horizontal configuration above at least one of the seat bottom and the seat backrest when the seat backrest is in the stowed configuration and the platform is in the lowered configuration.
