Side sill structure of automobile

A side sill structure of an automobile, comprising:

• a side sill including a first closed sectional space;
• a partition member vertically passing through the first closed sectional space in the side sill, the partition member being configured to partition the first closed sectional space into two second closed sectional spaces in a vehicle width direction;
• and
• an impact absorption structure including
• a pair of sectionally groove-shaped members joined to the partition member in a state of sandwiching the partition member from both sides and forming third closed sectional spaces respectively with the partition member in the second closed sectional spaces, and
• bulkheads provided respectively in the third closed sectional spaces in the vehicle width direction to partition the third closed sectional spaces and provided at a plurality of positions at intervals in a vehicle front-rear direction in the third closed sectional spaces, wherein
• each of the bulkheads includes
• a plurality of bulkhead portions arranged in parallel, and
• a junction configured to couple the adjacent bulkhead portions between side end portions thereof,
• the bulkhead in one of the third closed sectional spaces and the bulkhead in another one of the third closed sectional spaces are provided at a same position in the vehicle front-rear direction in such a manner that at least one each of the junctions are opposed to each other in the vehicle width direction with the partition member being interposed therebetween, and each of the bulkheads is joined to at least the sectionally groove-shaped member or the sectionally groove-shaped member,
• a part of bulkhead portions among all the bulkhead portions included in the plurality of bulkheads provided at intervals in the vehicle front-rear direction are arranged in a region that is within a width of a floor cross member in the vehicle front-rear direction, and remaining bulkhead portions are arranged in a region that is outside the width of the floor cross member in the vehicle front-rear direction, and
• the two or more bulkhead portions are arranged in the region, and w1<w2 is satisfied where an interval between the two bulkhead portions adjacent to each other in the region is represented by w1 and an interval between the bulkhead portions and the bulkhead portion adjacent thereto is represented by w2 in the vehicle front-rear direction.

A side sill structure of an automobile, comprising:

• a side sill;
• a partition member vertically passing through a first closed sectional space in the side sill, the partition member being configured to partition the first closed sectional space into second and third closed sectional spaces in a vehicle width direction;
• and
• an impact absorption structure including
• a sectionally groove-shaped member joined to the partition member and forming a fourth closed sectional space with the partition member in the second closed sectional space on a vehicle outer side, and
• bulkheads provided respectively in the fourth closed sectional space and the third closed sectional space on a vehicle inner side in the vehicle width direction to partition the fourth closed sectional space and the third closed sectional space, and provided at a plurality of positions at intervals in a vehicle front-rear direction in the fourth closed sectional space and the third closed sectional space, wherein
• each of the bulkheads includes
• a plurality of bulkhead portions arranged in parallel, and
• a junction configured to couple the adjacent bulkhead portions between side end portions thereof,
• the bulkheads in the fourth closed sectional space and the bulkheads in the third closed sectional space are provided at same positions in the vehicle front-rear direction in such a manner that at least one each of the junctions are opposed to each other in the vehicle width direction with the partition member being interposed therebetween, and each of the bulkheads in the fourth closed sectional space is joined to at least the sectionally groove-shaped member and each of the bulkheads in the third closed sectional space is joined to at least the side sill,
• a part of bulkhead portions among all the bulkhead portions included in the plurality of bulkheads provided at intervals in the vehicle front-rear direction are arranged in a region that is within a width of a floor cross member in the vehicle front-rear direction, and remaining bulkhead portions are arranged in a region outside the width of the floor cross member in the vehicle front-rear direction, and
• the two or more bulkhead portions are arranged in the region, and w1<w2 is satisfied where an interval between the two bulkhead portions adjacent to each other in the region is represented by w1 and an interval between the bulkhead portions and the bulkhead portion adjacent thereto is represented by w2 in the vehicle front-rear direction.
