Abstract
A steering apparatus for a vehicle includes a ball nut operably coupled to a rack bar via a ball and configured to linearly move the rack bar by rotation of the ball nut, a nut pulley provided on an outer surface of the ball nut, a first motor pulley provided on a first motor and operably coupled to the nut pulley by a belt, a second motor pulley provided on a second motor, disposed between the nut pulley and the first motor pulley, and operably coupled to the belt, and an electronic control device configured to control the first motor and the second motor.
Claims20
A steering apparatus comprising:
- a rotatable nut operably coupled to a rack bar and configured to linearly move the rack bar by rotation of the rotatable nut;
- a nut pulley provided on an outer surface of the rotatable nut;
- a first motor pulley of a first motor operably coupled to the nut pulley through a belt;
- a second motor pulley of a second motor disposed between the nut pulley and the first motor pulley, and rotatably coupled to the belt;
- and
- a processor configured to control the first motor and the second motor.
