Abstract

Steering operation input device includes a first shaft (19), a second shaft (20), a coupling member (13) provided between the first and second shafts (19, 20), a first torsion spring (16) provided at the first shaft (19) and connected to the coupling member (13), and a second torsion spring (17) provided at the second shaft (20). The second torsion spring (17) has the same spring constant as that of the first torsion spring (16). A pre-load is applied to the second torsion spring (17). Until the first shaft (19) is twisted by 60 degrees in a predetermined rotation direction, an urging force of the first torsion spring (16) acts on the first shaft (19). After the first shaft (19) is twisted by 60 degrees in the predetermined rotation direction, an urging force of the first torsion spring (16) and the second torsion spring (17) acts on the first shaft (19).
